AK Jewish Museum

We have hats, books, DVDs and kippahs, as well as T-shirts, both long and short-sleeved. Both of our books relate to our exhibit on the role of Alaska Airlines in the airlift of Yemenite Jews to Israel. Our DVD, “A Rose in Candle: A Gold Rush Family’s Saga in Candle, Alaska” recounts how a young Romanian violinist fell in love with an Alaskan merchant and came up to the Territory in the early 1900’s. Our beautiful kippahs were designed by artist Jona Van Zyle and feature the artwork of her husband Jon Van Zyle, Alaska’s official Iditarod
artist. Our commemorative poster “Window of Tolerance” is also based upon a Jon Van Zyle painting.
